Quick, in-office care for painful ingrowns and stubborn fungal nails—using precise procedures, medications, and laser therapy when appropriate.

• Painful or recurrent ingrown toenails (often the big toe)

For ingrown nails, we numb the toe, gently remove the offending edge, and—if ingrowns keep returning—treat the nail root to prevent that corner from growing back.
For fungal nails, we combine options like topical/oral antifungals and laser therapy to target organisms in and under the nail. As the nail grows out, clearer, healthier nail replaces the damaged portion.

• Before: Wear or bring a shoe you can slip on after the visit. Tell us about any allergies or medications.
• During: Local numbing for ingrowns; precise edge removal and, if chosen, matrix treatment. For fungus, we’ll discuss topicals/orals and perform laser if part of your plan.
• After: Simple bandage care for ingrowns; resume most activities the same day. For fungus, continue home care as advised between visits.

• Ingrown nails: Pain relief is often immediate once the edge is removed; tenderness improves over 1–3 days. Long-term corner removal greatly reduces recurrence.
• Fungal nails: Improvement appears as new, clear nail growth from the base; full results take several months as the nail grows out. Many patients need a short series of laser sessions plus ongoing prevention.

• Temporary soreness after numbing or procedure; mild drainage is normal for a day or two with ingrowns.
• With fungal care, nails grow slowly—consistency matters. Reinfection can occur without shoe/sock hygiene.
• As with any procedure or medication, rare reactions or infection can occur; we review prevention and aftercare step by step.
